Karen McKenna has gained immense business travel experience spanning 20 years, with a diverse and in-depth knowledge of sales, marketing, sourcing and procurement processes and in the last 7 years; creation of online market places, customer acquisition and digital marketing.

For more than 10 years Karen was involved in managing the tender processes of major blue chip organisations. She was involved in national and multinational sales, proposal development, project management and multinational call centre implementation.

Identifying the need to re-engineer manual processes, this inspired the founding and creating in 2004 of an industry-first, web-based tendering tool called ETABid. The successful launch of ETABid was the catalyst for creating a specialist consulting company in 2005, to support ETABid clients through their tender processes. 3SIXTY provided consultancy services to assist procurement, travel managers and business travel suppliers.

Following the acquisition of ETABid in 2007 and 3SIXTY in 2009, Karen has been working collaboratively with buyers and suppliers of business travel and, networking with key industry players, has been the catalyst for becoming involved in travel programme consultancy projects. Subsequently, in 2010 Karen joined the MS-UK team and has now worked on several projects, helping buyers optimise their travel programmes, source suppliers, manage tender processes and implement new initiatives and practices.

MS-UK also works with subject matter experts who are specialists in specific travel categories, such as: fleet management, expense management, meetings and event management and hotel programme development. Our consultants have held senior travel operational and managerial positions, so we fully understand the mechanics of the travel industry. This insight, combined with our procurement and consultancy skills, gives us a unique view of the services being provided and opportunities to enhance them.

Ray also served with Colin as a National Council member and Director of the Association of British Travel Agents.
